Background The company was established primarily as a small, specialist recruitment consultancy serving the cross-modal transport, logistics, investment banking and stockbroking industries. As time went by, the markets demanded that the business should also include automotive and pharmaceuticals within its skillsets.
As the business was designed to work with few geographic parameters, the company has begun to develop an international ‘framework’ of other small but effective recruitment consultancies, and by late 2008, that ‘framework’ had ten international members. The purpose behind the ‘framework’ is to allow us to manage assignments in many parts of the world where we would not have a physical presence, but our presence and representation will be managed by the local ‘framework’ associate – and vice versa, where they may be handling a European assignment and GloRec would represent them. GloRec-Events designs, organises, manages and operates conferences, events, seminars, dinners and awards ceremonies for client companies throughout Europe. GloRec-Framework was developed to allow the business of the company to operate in all parts of the Globe but by keeping our costs and overheads at a minimum. The result is that we have developed close and vetted associations with similar sized Recruiters in ten different locations, including the Far East, United States, Scandinavia, South Africa, Europe, India, Australia, Ireland, Canada and Dubai. By achieving this, we have been able to complete assignments in those parts of the world, sourcing candidates from any part of the world, but also to utilise the expertise of the ‘framework’ recruiters who are located in or nearby to those assignments. those recruiters also use us as part of the ‘framework’ if they are holding international assignments so that we can source UK or West European data, candidates or clients.
